Hotel Colloseum - Old Town Hotel Colloseum is a beautiful hotel in a renovated historic building in the heart of Prague. This is a really well located hotel and very reasonably priced. Here you are within walking distance of all the wonderful things Prague has to offer. Prague is the capital of and the largest city in the Czech Republic it is the fourteenth largest city in the European Union. Situated in the north west of the country on the Vltava River it is the historical Capital of Bohemia. It¿s a wonderful city with a gorgeous skyline and excellent baroque and gothic architecture. There are lots of great landmarks and historical monuments Wenceslas Square is right on the doorstep and not to be missed. Steeped in a rich and vibrant history the square has been home to many events and continues to be a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations, and other public gatherings. It¿s one of the main City Squares and the centre of business and cultural communities in New Town. The square is named after the patron saint of Bohemia Saint Wenceslas and is a world heritage site. Prague¿s national Museum has its entrance on the upper end of the square a must for inquisitive minds. The museum, founded in 1818 houses almost 14 million items from the areas of natural history, history, arts, music, and librarianship all located in many buildings. A great deal of work has been put into collecting new materials over the museums long history.
