There are lots of great landmarks and historical monuments Wenceslas Square is right on the doorstep and not to be missed. Steeped in a rich and vibrant history the square has been home to many events and continues to be a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations, and other public gatherings. It¿s one of the main City Squares and the centre of business and cultural communities in New Town. The square is named after the patron saint of Bohemia Saint Wenceslas and is a world heritage site. Prague¿s national Museum has its entrance on the upper end of the square a must for inquisitive minds. The museum, founded in 1818 houses almost 14 million items from the areas of natural history, history, arts, music, and librarianship all located in many buildings. A great deal of work has been put into collecting new materials over the museums long history.
