Morgans is the hotel that changed all the rules. From the moment it opened its doors on Madison Avenue, it startled the world with a convention-shattering attitude and distinctive design sensibility. Each of the 114 comfortable guest rooms offers a peaceful antidote to the adrenaline infused pace of New York City. New design additions include an art installation commissioned by Ms. Putman and created by the French design collective Trafik which is installed on the lobby ceiling behind a stretched white bariso canvas. Just off the lobby, one of New York's most coveted destinations, Asia de Cuba, creates a culinary and social buzz. In a soaring, theatrical space, restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow has created a dynamic menu that blends Latin and Asian cuisine with stunning results. The Living Room has been redesigned as the perfect place to relax, read a book or browse the internet. Those that are intent on working will also appreciate the library's new high tech business center. Morgans extended the completion date of the renovation for their restaurant, Reserve. It is now scheduled to open May 1, 2013. However, located in their ultra-chic duplex Penthouse, the complimentary Continental breakfast is located on two floors separated by a dramatic spiral staircase. Breakfast features croissants from Balthazar and the best coffee in New York City.
