Strand Travel has a dedicated group travel department. We specialise in organising expeditions/tours for groups such as national charities, sporting groups, marching bands, and special interest groups such as farmers groups, bridge tournaments, etc.

As a travel agent, we have extensive experience, from negotiating fares with airlines, choosing reputable accommodation and liaising with our extensive ground handling contacts worldwide. 

As there is minimal administration for the group, they can concentrate on what’s important, enjoying their trip.

Day 1 - Arrive in San Jose

Day 2 - Central Valley & Daka Coffee Plantation visit

Day 3 & 4 - San Jose - Arenal Volcano one of the most active volcanoes in the western hemisphere and Cerro Chato, a lagoon-filled extinct crater.

Day 5 & 6 -  Arenal - Rincon de la Vieja - combining tropical dry forest with enchanting waterfalls, the area is characterised bu bubbling mud pots, steaming vents in the earth, hot springs and a whole host of wildlife.

Day 7 Rincon de la vieja - Carara - visit a local elementary school and have the opportunity to share with the local children. 

Day 8 - Carara National Park 

Day 9 - 12 Dominical - a beachfront town, an area of natural beauty, a wealth of activities and local amenities.

Day 13 - leave for return trip home
