Welcome to Boat Hotel de Barge

Boat Hotel de Barge The Boat Hotel de Barge is situated in the historic centre of Bruges, within walking distance of the architectural treasures for which this medieval Flemish city is justly famous, and which make the de Barge an ideal base to explore on foot. The Hotel itself is unique in Bruges in that it is in fact a large converted barge that is permanently moored on the Bruges-Ghent Canal on the southern edge of the medieval city centre. The de Barge is thus predictably decorated in a traditional style with a nautical theme and provides 20 comfortable bedrooms or cabins which, though generally somewhat smaller than land-based hotel rooms, all have double beds and individual en-suite bathrooms. Although there is no extra charge for infants aged under two who share an existing bed, cots and additional beds are available at additional charge, and not more than one extra bed or cot is permitted in each cabin. As well as a restaurant that serves buffet-style breakfasts and on certain days also full-course dinners, the de Barge offers guests the use of a lounge-bar, complimentary Wi-Fi in all areas, adjacent sun terrace and nearby car-parking. The Hotel has a reception area - with safe and luggage storage - manned by a multi-lingual staff who as well as an express check-in/out service are able to provide tourist-concession tickets and to assist with car hire locally. Although smoking is permitted in designated areas and pets may be allowed on request, a surcharge is payable for the latter privilege.
