This hotel's only potential drawback is the short tram ride to the city centre. Nevertheless, the hotel is of a very high standard and comes highly recommended. ## Location The hotel overlooks a busy shipbuilding harbour and a market place, within easy reach of Helsinki's main shopping area. The main shopping area is approximately a 10 minute walk. One can also take a tram (two stops), which stops outside the hotel. ## Distance 1 kms to city centre 22 kms to the nearest airport (helsinki airport) 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station (ruoholahti) 1 km to the nearest station (helsinki) 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop 3 km to the nearest fair site (helsinki - vanha satama) Close to the beach ## Rooms There are three types of room: cabin, sailor and captain. Clients will be assigned either sailor or captain class rooms, both of which are large and in very good condition, as are the bathrooms. The hotel uses the combined cabin rooms as doubles, but singles will always be in sailor class. ## Restaurant The restaurant is on the ground floor, with an American 50s' diner theme. Breakfast is taken at the back of the lobby in a large buffet room. The buffet is huge and delicious. ## Exterior The hotel is housed in a converted cheese factory, with a brown brick and glass facade. ## Lobby The reception area is large, with a nautical theme in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The reception is to the back left of the lobby and there are seating areas on either side.
