The Hotel Saturnia run by the Serandrei family since 1908, enjoys a strategic position in town; it is located in via XXII Marzo, one of the main streets in the heart of Venice connecting famous St. Mark's Square (the main Venetian square) to the Accademia art Galleries housing the most important collection of the great Venetian 16th and 17th century masters. Not far is the Guggenheim Collection. Hotel Saturnia & International is very close to "La Fenice Theatre" reconstructed after the devastating fire of 1996 and inaugurated in December 2003. Via XXII Marzo, is also one of the main shopping streets, lined with famous fashion names like Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Ferragamo and many more. And, last but not least, the world-renown Rialto Bridge with the fascinating open-air market and countless shops. All the 91 rooms come with parquet floors, air conditioning, and a private marble bathroom. Guests have free access to a fitness centre nearby. The Serandrei family also runs the on-site La Caravella Restaurant, which serves local recipes using only the finest seasonal ingredients. Between May and September meals are served in the courtyard.
