The Ritz Carlton Philadelphia Originally built as The Girard Trust Company and home to the Girard Bank. McKim, Mead and White, who are also known for Boston's Symphony Hall, Columbia University and the Washington Square Arch in New York, designed the building between 1901 and 1904. Actual construction took place between 1905 and 1909. The tower was further modified in the 1930s.
