The Lake Hotel is a charming, friendly family-run 4 star establishment superbly located on the shores of the world famous Lakes of Killarney. It combines a unique old world charm with all top standard modern day facilities. The location itself is enough to win you over! (GW 05/2012)Originally a house , the hotel has been run by the Huggard Family welcoming guests since 1820. The Reception, Restaurant, Lounges (with original features) and half the rooms are housed within a traditional, three storey building, whilst a similar looking annexe was built in more recent times and comprises additional bedrooms. In 1861 the Lake Hotel is said to have hosted Queen Victoria of England during her stay in Ireland.Quaint lobby located in the former original house that the hotel as built around. Charming staff.
