Dating back to 1817 when Thomas M Gresham purchased 21-22 Sackville Street (now O`Connell Street) the grandeur of the period is still evident today from the Waterford crystal chandeliers to the grand staircase greeting guests upon arrival. The hotel has 6 floors with a total of 289 rooms. ## **Location** The hotel is located on O'Connell Street, in the heart of Dublin’s City Centre North, with the Gate Theatre, General Post Office, and The Spire all close by. Trinity College and Temple Bar are just a few blocks away. ## **Rooms** The spacious bedrooms have one double bed, air-conditioning/heating, LCD satellite TVs with interactive system, free wireless Internet connection, alarm clock, en suite bathroom with bath/shower combination, hairdryer, radio, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone with voicemail, electronic safety locks and hairdryer ## **Recreation** The hotel has a modern fitness centre with cardio-vascular equipment, along with free weights. A babysitting service is offered.
