The Donna Rosa Hotel is situated in the little fishing village of Sant¿Alessio Siculo. It is ideally situated for holidays to Sicily, close to the fashionable international resort town of Taormina. The multi-lingual staff, at this small family run hotel, can arrange trips into Taormina. The heart of medieval Taormina, with its winding streets, monuments and fountains is only a ten-minute drive from the hotel. Taormina¿s sophisticated shops and intimate trattorias are much favoured by celebrities and from the town¿s elevated position you can enjoy fantastic views along the coast to Mount Etna. The town¿s ancient Greek theatre still hosts occasional concerts and theatrical events today. A cable car or funivia runs from the north end of Taormina to the fine shingle beach that shelves into the Mediterranean at Mazzaro below. It takes the cable car 15 minutes to reach the Lido Mazzaro where are also a few bars and restaurants. From Taormina nearby towns are also easily accessible by public transport. Each of the rooms at the Donna Rosa Hotel has a private bathroom, a terrace or balcony with either a sea, courtyard or garden view, an LCD TV with digital channels, air-conditioning, telephone, in-room safe and complementary WiFi. A buffet style breakfast is offered, but there are no restaurant facilities. There is a bar, boutique and free internet point. The hotel does not have a pool, but it does have its own private beach only 150 metres away. In the evenings live music entertainment is provided on the hotel¿s private beach.
