The Hotel Melina is located on a few metres from the Poniente Beach and only 400 metres from the Old Town where there is a a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel has 133 comfortable spacious rooms over five floors. The Hotel Melina has 24hour reception and a buffet style restaurant together with a bar-café and television room. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pools, Wi-Fi internet access and air-conditioned room rooms with a private balcony. Benidorm is divided into five parts, Poniente and Levante, each fronted by a beach of the same name, the old town, La Cala situated to the west side of Poniente and El Rincón de Loix situated to the east side of Levante. Between the two beaches lies a rocky peninsula and the port. The old city occupies the area immediately inland, while most of the hotels occupy the more recently developed sections inland from the two beaches. A few miles from shore is an uninhabited island which provides a dramatic centrepiece to the seascape.
